About

Julianna grew up in the southern suburbs of Brisbane and was educated at South Brisbane.

She has a Bachelor of Education and is a secondary school Home Economics Teacher.

Julianna has worked at Woodridge State High School, Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre at Wacol, Bundamba State Secondary College and St Saviour’s College. In 2008 she will commence employment as the Home Economics Coordinator at Brigidine College. Julianna is also undertaking post graduate research in education.

Julianna is an active volunteer in the community and her profession. She volunteers for St Vincent de Paul, Surf Life Saving Australia, the Salvation Army and Clean Up Australia Day. Julianna is also the Vice President of the Home Economics Institute of Australia (Qld) and a member of the International Federation for Home Economics.

Julianna is passionate about education and the wellbeing of young people. She is also interested in women and youth issues, health promotion, community development, foster care services and the future of our state.

Julianna believes the current Labor government has let down the young people of Queensland, and that they have neglected the public services that young people depend on. She hopes to become a voice which will advocate for much needed change. Julianna is also keen to improve access to train services and infrastructure in the electorate of Yeerongpilly.

In her spare time Julianna enjoys spending time with her friends, playing hockey, surfing and swimming. She enjoys art house movies and indie music.
